LSU's freshman impresses early
“Guys in our seven-on-seven drills are really complimentary of his abilities,” LSU coach Les Miles said recently about frosh Terrance Toliver. At 6-foot-f, 180 poiunds, Toliver figures to be a beast for the Tigers in the years ahead. Auburn's tallest backfield defender won't be able to keep up his Toliver. He recently completed some informal workouts with Ole Miss great Eli Manning at the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State.
Miles said Manning had to be impressed with the youngster. “He tried to throw it beyond Terrance’s grasp,” Miles said, “and Terrance went and got it.”
As for Toliver Miles is chomping at the bit to unleash him. “He’s really stood out. [Returning players on the LSU squad] also like our freshman quarterback (Jarrett Lee), (safety) Chad Jones, really a number of guys.”
